One brokenhearted girl, three meddling sisters, and an intervention plan called The Monday ManDates....

Juliette is heart-broken after waiting in vain almost ten years for a proposal from her boyfriend. Determined she isn’t “getting over Mike” quickly enough, her three sisters devise The Monday ManDates; an intervention plan requiring Juliette to endure what turns out to be a series of remarkably disastrous blind dates: TheraPaul, Frisky Frank, TAZ the rock star, and the stoic Tim Larsen, among others. Then there’s Victor Jarrett, the police officer with an affinity for pulling Juliette over when she’s at her very worst. But no one is more surprised than Juliette when she meets the one man who can right the wrongs in her past and change her future, if she will only let herself fall in love with him.

When Paul and Simone Gustafson are killed by a drunk driver, the lives of their daughters change irrevocably. Although raised by loving grandparents, it’s the G-FOURce—the Gustafson Four Sisters Club—that binds them together when their differences would tear them apart. All grown up now, Juliette has become the quintessential doormat, Renata, the self-appointed matriarchal figure. Phoebe is, at least according to Renata, borderline narcissistic, and Gia is on the verge of a major identity crisis.

Then there’s Angela Clinton, the senior class darling who drove her cherry black 1970 el Camino into the side of their parents’ car on the night of Juliette’s high school graduation. Angela’s prison sentence is winding down; soon she’ll be eligible for parole and moving back to town. Will the G-FOURce be strong enough to hold them together as they step into the eye of the storm that’s been brewing for the last fifteen years? Will they finally be able to let go of the past and embrace the future, no matter what it holds?

Note: The Gustafson Girls series is Christian Women's Fiction with strong elements of Romance.

    • I don't have a title

The book was good and I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next. I did not like the ending because it seems like you are in the middle of a scene, thought, or whatever and then it just said "The End". I honestly thought it was a joke. I also was irritated and almost stopped reading because there is some very inaccurate information in the book. When the main character is considering giving her life to Christ and becoming a Christian more than once the book says that God wants us to call him "husband". NO HE DOESN'T. We, Christians, are children of God. The Lord's Prayer which models how we are to pray says we are to call God FATHER! Not husband. The Bible also does not any where in any shape or form say we are to refer to Jesus as "husband" either. Other than that and the abrupt end I liked the book.
    • Meh.

Only download this is you're VERY religious. I'm very spiritual and it was almost too much for me. Honestly, there's a lot of things that make me borderline uncomfortable with this book and it's disappointing to read. For example, they never addressed why Juliette just let Mike's actions slip under the rug - just chalked it up to forgiveness and "well girls always go for guys like that". Really sets a bad standard for any young girls reading.

A wonderfully written love story! Not your typical plot or characters. Juliette and her sisters are one-of-a-kind. An enjoyable read!!

    • Grace and Forgiveness

I have always heard that forgiveness is not for the other person, it is for me. This book has a cute story about grace and forgiveness. Juliette is mad at God and does not know how to fix her broken life. Until she gives her life to God and she is able to put her life back together with his help. This book put a lot of things in perspective for me.

Delightful and entertaining. I thinly I'll recommend it to my book club.
    • Very much enjoyed!

It had a bit of a slow start, with some elements snagging my consciousness such as a disparity with lingo and thinking that was dated more to a late-40-something rather than a 30-something and a few character names that just seem awkward, but once the story began unfolding I found myself laughing out loud and excited to read more about these relationships. Sure, it's not all believable, but I enjoy reading for an escape from reality, and this book provided a great one! I'll be looking forward to future installments about the other sisters, but will hope she revisits Juliette's story further as well!
    • Great book!
