Description

Language interpreters played a vital role in the recent US campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. These men served alongside American soldiers in parts of the world where doing so meant they could not go back home safely. They served with the promise of support, visas and better lives in the US and abroad after the fighting was over and for many, those promises went unfulfilled.

VICE News host Ben Anderson traveled to Afghanistan and Iraq met with several interpreters—to document the stories of their service and their struggle for justice firsthand.

I felt this book because my bro was terp! Good job writer. My thoughts with everyone that we have lost in wars in Iraq and A-Stan

I read this in just a few hours. The sad and disappointing truth of what continues to happen in Afghanistan. A small country that was promised the moon and the sky and how detached we can become from what is happening to those who are left behind. MUST READ
