    I had hired a personal ‘virtual’ fitness trainer for 3 months, and was pleased with the results, but had no explanation of why I was following the plan I was doing (more weights than I have ever before, less cardio, measurement of food, etc). When my fitness trainer subscription came to an end, I was desparate for advice on how to maintain my new physique (I lost 10 lbs) Much to my surprise, upon reading Mike’s book, I had all of these ‘light bulb moments” of ‘so that’s why I was doing that….’ or hmmm, maybe I need to tweek this a bit differently because it wasnt working as well as I wanted. When I implemented the plan in the book, first all, it was far EASIER than any other ‘diet’ I’ve tried - it really is a lifestyle - AND I lost another 10 lbs, and gained muscle along with it. The most impressive thing for me though is Mike himself - he has a wonderful Podcast, first rate products on Legion, and websites on Muscleforlife and Legion Athletics, AND he responds to every email, which is incredibly impressive because I can only imagine he gets hundreds a day.     I am currently on my second week and I am loving it so far! I haven’t read anything as simple and honest before. It totally inspired me and provided a lot of information for cutting, bulking, and maintaining. I have been lifting for a couple of years now, and I haven’t really read anything until now that really helped me with the cardio side. A lot of websites will only say either “minimal cardio” and not say what that means or the programs will have me doing 20-30 minutes of cardio every day after my lifting regimens. Mike is super informed and provides links to anything you might have questions on, from videos on lifting form to studies on the effects of supplements.

    If you want truthful information in an easy to understand way then read this book. There's no bs promises or take this pill and eat this at x time it's just easy to understand information such as calorie needs and exercise information weights and cardio program outline. Also Mike does answer emails if you have a question he'll answer back it may take a few days but he does!

    This book is awesome for motivating you to get healthier, stronger and toned! Michael has laid out a great workout plan along with formulas for calculating calories and macronutrients that are easy to follow. He has done his research, and it shows. I'm in my fourth week and am losing a pound a week even with my one cheat meal a week! I have a ways to go, but I can't wait to reach my goal! Lifting weights is the way to go ladies!! Much more fun than tons of boring cardio AND more effective!!!
