Description

The first time I lay eyes on Callan Walker, I know he’ll be trouble. With his smug grin, hot Aussie accent and thousand dollar shoes, he’s just the kind of rich guy who always gets what he wants.
And he wants two things: a night of sin, and my cooperation as he outmaneuvers his powerful mother to take control of his uncle’s estate.
I can’t afford either one. I’m the only thing standing between my little sister and the foster care system. He may have money and charm on his side, but I have something even more powerful pure desperation. This temp job at his mother’s company can become a full time job for me. It has to.
But when Callan’s eyes rake over my body, sometimes I forget my obligations. His piercing gaze finds the fun, optimistic girl I used to be and not the tired person I’ve become.
And it worksif only for a moment. Our night together was a mistake. I can't afford to get sucked into his high-powered family’s treachery. But the closer I get to Callan, the more layers I find beneath those expensive clothes. Though I can’t forget this is temporary. He’s temporary. I have too much to lose.
Too bad my foolish heart didn’t get the memo...

It was a great light book. Characters easy to identify with and just enough twists and turns to keep it flowing. If you have read Sarina's other books you will enjoy this too!

Genre: Romance - contemporary, international, comedy Stand-alone: yes but the epilogue opens it up for another one Part of a Series: ??? POV: Grace/Callin Steam-level: warm 4/5 Temporary was a quick and fun read about a rich playboy and an independent temp hired (by his mom's company) to help get his uncle's estate in order. Overall I really enjoyed this book. I got through it quick and was surprised when it ended. I feel like some questions weren't answered but it's not really a cliffhanger. Callie's mother is atrocious and hope to see her get her due in another book. The humor was used well in breaking up emotional tension but didn't have me laughing out loud. Grace's sister is a riot and I like the themes of family and love that run throughout the book. I like that it touched on some LBGTQ issues, especially on family acceptance. The authors made these issues secondary to the story but I'm glad that they not only touched on them but did it in a factual and respectful manner. I'd probably read more books by these authors. The writing was well done and kept me interested throughout. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This book is definitely one of my favorites so far this year! From the beginning you are sucked in and you feel so many emotions for Grace. Then when we meet Callan and we just know that life is going to be dangerous for Grace. Their chemistry is amazing! Callan is another person we feel so many emotions for. He lost someone so close to him and it seems like no one else in her family cares. This really put Grace is such a tough spot, but she handled it so well. These two worked so well together in their work life and in their private life. My favorite thing about this book was the dedication both of them had. Callan for his Uncle and Grace for her sister. They are both so admirable for their efforts and it makes us fall in love with them both. There were so many feelings throughout this whole book, we felt heartache, pride, sexy thoughts, happiness and sadness. It really was a constant roller coaster, and it was such a great ride! These two did so good together, I hope they put out more work together!
