Description

Mirror work has long been Louise Hay’s signature method for cultivating a deeper relationship with yourself and others, and leading a rich and meaningful life. Now, in Mirror Work, she shows how in just 21 days, you can master this simple but powerful practice as an ongoing support for positive transformation and self-care.

“I have been teaching people how to do mirror work as long as I have been teaching affirmations . . . The most powerful affirmations are those you say out loud when you are in front of a mirror, looking deeply into your eyes. A mirror reflects back to you the feelings you have about yourself. It makes you immediately aware of where you are resisting and where you are open and flowing. It clearly shows what thoughts you will need to change if you want to have a joyous, fulfilling life.” - Louise Hay

This is one of the best ways to reprogram your mind to love yourself. Humans generally do not love themselves. They do not know how. For someone struggling w self love or who has been abused and devalued by parents or lovers, I recommend! But also if you want to see a change in your behaviors towards the self, this book is for you!

This was recommended to me by a fitness and nutrition coach I'm working with as part of our personal development work. I was skeptical but decided to be open minded and give it a shot. I wish I could get my $10 back. I don't mind some positivity and advice in a good read, but this book is just so incredibly corny. The author sounds like the biggest weirdo who just stands in front of her mirror all day breathing slow breaths and telling herself she loves her. Not a fan. If you really want a personal development book, I suggest The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. This Mirror Work stuff is just for hippies.
