    Meet retired cop, Sam Prichard.

Sam Prichard was a cop, and a good one, until the bullets took out the joint of his right hip. Now he's trying to learn to live without being a cop, and getting to know his neighbors, learning to walk again and even ride a motorcycle. Life is bearable, barely, but then he gets asked to find a missing child, and the lure of getting back into some kind of police work is too much for him to resist. When he teams up with computer whiz Indiana Perkins, he suddenly becomes one of the best investigators he's ever even known.

Now, he's found the missing child, but it's thrown him right into the middle of something that may be a drug war--or could be a chance to stop the next 911! There's no way out for Sam, so he's in for the ride of his life, but when the girl he's becoming fond of is suddenly drawn into the line of fire with her own little daughter, Sam is ready to forget all the rules and do whatever is necessary to win the day.

Just finished reading this book. It was great from the start. I enjoyed the plot with all the twist and turns. Has somewhat of twist to end this first book in a series.

I really liked this book it was full of bad guys, car chases, drug lords, and gun battles. But I didn't think that Sam and indie's relationship was realistic. Like after it was all over Sam and indie lived happily ever after, only after being together for three days! It's too predictable and cliche. If I could rewrite the ending I would make indie say goodbye to Sam and find a new apartment with the money she got. Also Sam would offer her a job as a investigator or hacker on the police force. Other than that really great book. It only took me two days to finish it.

A bit of a slow start, but the author makes up for that as the story continues. Thoroughly enjoyable characters, an easy read and a decent plot.

I enjoyed the book. I would have liked a bit more character depth and a lot less exclamation points. Way too many !!!!!!!!'s. There were so many that they jumped off the page at me.

Great Book! I read most mystery books I find, and usually have the bad guy figured out by the middle of the book. I was truly surprised and that doesn't happen very often. Also I loved the fact that I didn't have to skip two or three pages is taudrey love scenes. I loved this book and will be putting this author on my go to list of authors.
