Twenty years running from your past.  Today it catches up.

A gripping psychological thriller for fans of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train.

Leah Mills lives a life of a fugitive – kept on the run by one terrible day from her past. It is a lonely life, without a social life or friends until – longing for a connection – she meets Julian.  For the first time she dares to believe she can live a normal life.

Then, on the twentieth anniversary of that day, she receives a card. Someone knows the truth about what happened. Someone who won’t stop until they’ve destroyed the life Leah has created.
But is Leah all she seems? Or does she deserve everything she gets?

Everyone has secrets.  But some are deadly.

If you like Girl on a Train- you will absolutely love this book. Absolutely incredible- perfectly written- read 150 pages in one night, could not put it down- has a bit of scariness to it- so be sure to have the night light on!
  • Suspenseful

Interesting story, characters well written, while seldom likable. Keeps you guessing for a good amount of time - you don't see the end coming. I will probably read this author again - at least her books are reasonably priced and, more importantly, don't take a hard left turn after the sample finishes like a lot of previously famous authors' books do now.

This was a very enjoyable book. It kept me guessing and turning pages from the start. Highly recommend it and look forward to Katherine's next book.
