Where I Belong is a sexy best friend's brother/enemies to lovers romance. It was a fast and steamy read with plenty of heat! Our main characters, Mia and Ben, absolutely hated each other growing up. Mia returns to Alabama after being away for 9 years to visit her best friend, Tessa, who also happens to be Ben's sister. Mia wants to stop being such a Mary Sue, so she decides to go to a bar and with the intention of finding someone to give her virginity to. After an amazing one night stand, it's revealed that her mystery man in none other than her former nemesis, Ben. There are the inevitable misunderstandings and push and pull, but there were a few surprises along the way as well. 9 years is a long time and both Mia and Ben have changed and matured. The story became a sort of second chance romance as they discovered and appreciated the people that the other had become. I thought Ben was a sweetheart, but I did feel that his possessiveness and instalove was a bit much at times (they only spent one night together, but he became completely obsessed). Another thing that threw me off, was Ben's sister Tessa. I am all for honesty, but her interest and comments about Ben and his sexcapades was too much. I don't know ANY sister who would talk about their brother's penis and orgasms as much as Tessa did. Her commentary did provide some comic relief, but more often it made me cringe. I am interested in her and Luke's story though and look forward to reading it. Overall, Where I Belong is an easy steamy read and a great start to the Alabama Summer series!

Very rarely do I give a book 5 stars. This one earned it. I'll say in the beginning I didn't know what to expect but Ben made me loooooove him. So cute how persistent he was with her. It melted my heart! Ben & Mia are everything, and I can't wait to read about Tessa & Luke next!

What an incredible book! Will Mia be able to move past her childhood drama? Can Ben show her how changed of a man he is? Will he be too late to win her over! I literally couldn't put this book down!

What if the "bane of your existence" is really the man of your dreams? Mia heads back to her childhood home for a summer of fun with best friend, Tessa. The only problem is Tessa's older brother still lives in the same town. Here is hoping that Mia doesn't have to cross paths with the only person who made her feel unloved as a young girl. I loved who Ms. Daniels played out the re-meet. It always seems like the ugly duckling knocks out the handsome prince at first glance, but then there is recognition. Not for Ben. He doesn't realize who he in lust with until much later. All of the secondary characters are a hoot and keep the story moving. The Hero's intention to be friends first almost backfires. I love to see the recognition of the fact that people change is the theme and you shouldn't hold someone to past actions. The story line does get a tad angsty as Mia holds onto to her anger, and Nolan's mom. But the story pulls together in the perfect HEA. Oh, and hold onto your panties because the steamy scenes with Ben and Mia - whoa Baby. The Alabama Summer series was a complete binge read for me. Book one on through. Can the stories standalone? Maybe is my thought. But really you need to read them all together as actions and clues for the next books are revealed. Need a sweet yet HOT romance read. Highly recommend this series. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
